Lee summitted Mt Everest via the South East ridge in Nepal. He did this at 5.37 am (local time) on the 24th May 2008.

Lee Farmer is a regular mountain climber, and spends many weekends in diverse activities such as rock climbing, mountaineering and mountain biking. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS), a qualified Mountain Leader (ML) and Mountain Bike Instructor (MIAS).
Lee Farmer holds a BSc (Hons) in Residential Development and an MBA in Construction and Real Estate.
He is a member of the British Mountaineering Council (BMC), the Mountain Bothies Association (MBA), Mountain Leaders Training Association (MLTA), and member of Peterborough Mountaineering Club and Newbury Mountain Club.
Lee has organised and succesfully led expeditions in all corners of the globe from South America, USA, and Africa; and closer to home, namely the European Alps and of course, the UK.
His personal climbing achievements have seen him take on many mountains including the following peaks:

- Elbrus Russia, Europe/Asia, highest mountain in Europe.

- Aconcagua Argentina, South America, highest mountain in S America.
- Cho Oyu Tibet, Asia, 6th highest mountain in the world.
- Kosciusko Australia, highest mountain in Australasia.
- Mont Blanc France, Europe, highest mountain in Western Europe.
- Jebel Toubkal Morocco, Africa, highest mountain in North Africa.
- Mt Everest Nepal, Asia, highest mountain in Asia and the World.
Each with their own story to tell about culture, people, travel, triumphs, mishaps, success, and sometimes failures.
